  • I know, I said I’d never think I wasn’t better alone…

    I debating posting this, but decided I would anyway. It’s not our typical post, but I love how this picture turned out. Millie and Liesel joined me at Templemore last night for some true Coachella vibes. I’ve been trying to be more social lately, and I’ve been so lucky to meet some awesome people who are into the same things I’m into. See, I’m a weirdo. I have AuDHD and am a bit of a loner because of it. I got used to spending almost all my time in the air, on a platform, or just standing there. Solitude is comfortable. But it’s good to break out of that sometimes, I’m learning, tho not always easy. It’s always easier tho, when you have some good people around and I finally feel like I have found what I’ve been looking for. Till next time…

  • I’m gonna run this nothing town…

    Do you remember that time your sibling got you into trouble? So does Millie. And yes, shockingly, it was me who caused the mischief. See, I thought we would totally have enough time to sneak out for a smoke, grab an iced coffee and make it back in time for Ms. G’s. fourth period AP Chemistry class. But, we didn’t. We got grounded, too. Total BS. I’d be mad at me, too.

    This pic was taken several skins, shapes and months ago, for the both of us, but I found it hiding in a folder I thought I’d already posted everything from and didn’t want it to miss the blog! I can’t remember where most of this stuff is from, so sorry about that. Our sweaters are from Emery, but I honestly can’t remember much else about the stuff in this pic. We’re working on trying to be better about remembering to take down everything we’re wearing, but yeah, we’re clearly struggling with that! Till, next time…

  • Love,I said real love, it’s like feeling no fear…

    We’re half way through February and it’s Valentine’s Day. I hope you’re spending time with folks who make you feel their love in the simplest ways. But even more than that, I hope you’re spending time adoring yourself. You are worthy of all the love you give so freely. It’s important to the time to really take care of ourselves, so that we can best show up for those around us. That’s what I’ll be doing for awhile.

  • You can’t choose what stays and what fades away…

    What wonderful tales of magic and mischief lie between the leather bindings of these books? Millie and I love a good book, but I’m a slow reader, so I may never know the answer to that question, but it won’t stop me from trying to discover as many stories as possible. In the real world, I spend a lot of time on the road, so audiobooks have been a lifesaver for me in that respect over the years. Speaking of, I just started re-listening to The Lord of the Rings. It really is my favorite.

    Sometimes you just need a change, tho. And luckily in SL, there’s no shortage of new stuff to try. We decided it had been too long since we updated our skins, so meet Nina from [the Skinnery]. We always keep our shapes similar, duh, we’re twins, but I like how they look specific to the both of our personalities as well. We are both in love with our new dresses from Bonnie, so we wore them in inverted colors for our rummaging through the stacks at this secret library we stumbled across.   • Saying nothing, that’s enough for me…

    Is anybody else over Winter yet? To be completely honest, I live in a part of the world where we get a lot of cold and snowy, Winter weather this time of year. And I love Winter. I always have. I love the snow. There’s something so cathartic about it to me. And a stillness I can’t explain. But this year…this year is even testing my patience. According to the Phil the groundhog, we’re not done yet, either. You’d think I’d be over Winter in SL, too, but no. In SL, you get all the best parts of Winter, with none of the crap that annoys you the day after. No school closings, no terrible drivers, no slush. Just the stillness of the snow.

    A few weeks ago, our sim was a beautiful Winter Wonderland. Luckily, Millie and I were able to grab a couple photos before it was all taken down. Our cozy floor length coats and hats kept us warm while we were out tending to the horses. How very Little House on The Prairie of us?   • She wore a raspberry beret…

    I have never been to Paris, but I have been enamored with the idea since I was a teenager. Like many of you, I took French as my foreign language in high school. This was my first real understanding that the world was a much bigger place than the small town I was raised in and since then, I have always wanted to experience as much of it as possible.

    Since it’s incredibly cold IRL and I’m not incredibly rich, I convinced Millie to come with me to Paris in SL. I haven’t been to this sim in ages, but it looks just like I remember.   • It’s a melody, It’s a battle cry, It’s a symphony…

    This entire event was a side quest. Let me explain…

    So I love music and I spend a lot of time at live music venues. A few months ago, I was at Lutz City of Templemore and I met Luis, the owner. We’ve become great friends and he’s introduced me to some seriously amazingly talented folks. Templemore is probably one of my favorite sims on the grid, if not my favorite. Luis is in love with the stage. He has built several nested stages for live music performances and they are all just so magical. I can’t recommend checking it out enough, if you haven’t. While gushing over how in love with his sim I am, I asked if Millie and I could do a blog post at his most recently built stage, Velvet Caress, and he said yes! I was so excited. Of course, me being me, I then accidentally added him to a group chat with Millie and Liesel while we were getting ready for this post and somehow convinced him to jump in the picture with us. The Velvet Caress stage screams old world romance, so we three sisters dressed in our new fancy dresses from .Enfant Terrible. that we picked up from last months’ FaMESHed round.

    If I’m being honest, we had the idea of being “salty bitches” for Halloween this past year, but we kept forgetting about it or putting it off or just not having time to get to it. I can’t even begin to imagine the side quests we went on to finally get this done, but we finally got it done.

    While most of the country (us included) have been snowed/ICEd in, we’ve been re-working our sim and it’s turning out so great. I’m so amazed at the amount of work we’ve gotten done in such a short period of time. It’s really starting to feel like home again. It’s been really nice to have something to pour ourselves into given the current state of affairs in our country. I have quoted Orwell entirely too many times for my liking. So you know, I had to go on a little side quest of my own and get this post out.

    Hopefully this salt we’re pouring will help get rid of all the snow/ICE we’ve been having to deal with. As always, photo credits go to Millie, my oh so talented twinnie.

  • .come, doused in mud, soaked in bleach.

    Do you remember your first concert? I remember mine. I’ve always been a music person. I couldn’t care less about movies or the newest TV shows. Give me my earbuds and a music stream and I’m a happy camper. Millie and I were talking about our first concerts one day and decided if we actually were twins, our first concert would have definitely been Nirvana. I know I’m aging us here, but, honestly, you can’t beat music from last century, specifically the 1990s. (ugh…last century tho?)

    Anyways, if you remember last century, you may remember long lines for concert tickets and even longer lines to get into whatever venue you were going to. There were no online venues, no online shows being broadcasted. We had to walk up hill, sideways, in the snow to get where we were going…but it was always worth it. The freedom of no parents and 20k other people who were just as into the last song as you were was something I’ll never forget. I’m still a music girl. You can find me roaming the grid looking for tunes, most of the time. And I’ve started dragging Millie along with me, too. You should totally come with!

  • .oh, i’m just a girl, my apologies.

    Believe it or not, we took this pic before the last leaf fell and the snow started to gather on the ground. We both love autumn so much, but I don’t think either of us had much of a chance to take as many pictures as we’d like. You know how life gets so busy this time of year. Everybody gets pulled in different directions trying to make sure everything is perfect for the holiday season. Make sure to take a little time for yourselves. You deserve to enjoy the magic, too.

    This is one of Millie’s favorite pics so far and I agree. I love it dearly. So the side quest this time turned out to be the picture itself. In editing, she decided she didn’t like what’d we’d set up IW and did her own thing, which turned out beautifully.
